Тема: RE: situation in Georgia

Dear all,

Having checked our information below again, we want to clarify the following :

We insist that the vote has to be conducted according to the current statutes.  The Statutes determine whether 8 or 13 (8 + 5) members are allowed to vote.  Mr Hindse will, anyway, be part of the Assembly and will control the procedure.

We insist, as was communicated during the meeting, on the importance of a democratic ending otherwise FCG’s future within the FCI cannot be guaranteed. On the contrary, if all goes well, a possible application for Full FCI membership might be considered (deadline : 4 months before the GA, 7 November 2017, Leipzig)

Finally, we thank you for informing your membership about the contents of the email below, which we kindly ask you to translate in your official languages (Georgian and/or Russian) and publish on your website.

We thank you for your cooperation

Best regards

J.Hindse                                                        Y.De Clercq

Objet : situation in Georgia

Dear MM Omarov, Smolensk, Schogol and Mrs Mujiri

Dear all

We thank you for your participation at the meeting held at the FCI Office on Tuesday 14 February 2017.

We believe it was the right opportunity to express all the ideas, pros and cons, about the current situation within the Georgian cynology.

We are happy to inform you that the FCI Board has approved the course of actions and the related timeline for the latter to be carried out properly, aiming at bringing again quietness, enthusiasm and successful results within Georgian cynology and dog lovers in your country.

The following actions have then to be taken immediately, following our common agreement at the meeting :

28th February 2017, at the latest : creation of a working group, including 3 persons from each side, in charge of drafting proposals of amendments in the FCG Statutes.

1st March 2017-30th April 2017 : the group works on proposed amendments, consulting their own people.

30th April 2017 : FCG announces the holding of an extraordinary GA (the legal case FCG-FCG+, even though said to be a major obstacle for a GA by FCG, did not seem any more to be that problematic).

7th June 2017 : extraordinary GA, dedicated to the approval (or not) of the amended Statutes.  This GA must be conducted according to the current Statutes (i.e 8 members + 5 GC members to vote).  JH will attend the meeting.

1st July 2017 : second extraordinary GA dedicated to the election of a new Board, applying the possibly newly approved Statutes.  It is not necessary that JH attends.

It is also made clear that clubs having failed to pay their membership fees (for a period to be determined by the Statutes or the Board) are not allowed to vote.

We also insist on the importance of having the rights and duties of the GA and the Board clearly defined in the Statutes, and to have the competences of the GA clearly mentioned in the Statutes so that each GA knows exactly what it MUST discuss.  We attach the FCI Statutes and Standing Orders for assistance, if necessary.

Best regards
